Save the Date Magnets are surprisingly simple to make.
Save the date magnets are traditionally used for weddings, but can be used for Anniversaries, Birthday parties, business events and so forth.
Please be sure you read the tips at the bottom before printing.
I’ve included a basic design Save the Date design but I’m sure you can make one better than mine.
What you need.
Avery Ink Jet Magnet Sheets #3270
An inkjet printer
Software you can use to edit. Such as Word, Paint.net, www.wrapcandy.com etc.
A Paper Cutter or Scissors (paper cutter is recommended if you are making many of them)
As an added touch and to help protect my magnets, I use a clear gloss glaze Krylon spray once the design has dried. *mod podge Gloss spray looks even better! I tried some today as a test)
Where to get your supplies:
Walmart usually carries the Magnet Sheets or Try Amazon.com
Krylon spray or Mod Podge Gloss Spray can be found at walmart as well in the craft section.
Tips:
Be sure to load one page at a time or it will Jam your printer.
Printer settings are important. Avery Magnet sheets should be printed as Presentation Paper (for most printers)
Print a test page first. Magnet sheets are not cheap.
The Krylon Spray is optional but highly recommended. click on the image to see full size. NOTE, you likely won’t see the white, but once you insert it into your editing program, it should be visible.
