Sorry Again

Sorry, I haven't been around much. Kevin is back in the hospital with fluid in his lungs and around his heart. His ankles are like an elephant! They can't put in the pacemaker until all fluid is gone, especially in his lungs. He would drown if they put him under to do the surgery. He has been in there 6 days now. They can't tell me how much longer. They are giving him double doses of Lasix 2 times a day but it is not coming off fast enough.

I will try harder.

I brought Kevin home today after 10 days! They took 40 lbs of fluid off of him.....

UPDATE: They took a total of 55 pounds of fluid off of him and he is scheduled for his surgery on the 23rd of September.

I am so sorry to hear your latest news @jenel. I am so glad to hear that they are going to be doing surgery soon. I do hope that he continues to improve until his surgery and that he makes a speedy recovery after.
My partner had a knee replacement 3 weeks ago so can appreciate how you are feeling.
Will send some positive thoughts.
So sorry to have been so neglectful recently. Events seem to have overtaken me and to be honest I have basically done nothing creative wise other than snag some shares for future use. Hopefully once his nibs is actually walking around instead of laying in bed I will feel more inclined to do more.
In meantime, please take care of yourself as well. It can be quite hard I do know. But must be done.

Went to the ER again, this time for me. I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder and neck, a UTI and to top it all off. I have COVID! I will be offline for a week or so.

On day 6. No fever for 2 days now and no cough. The taste and smell are coming back. The doctor said I was very lucky that I just had a mild case of COVID. He thinks it was because of all the booters that I have had each year along with my flu shot. Now it is just like a tiny normal cold.

@jenel, so glad that you are getting better. We get all our Covid boosters and the flu shot as well. Not taking any chances.
