IS WRAPCANDY DYING?

I think wrapcandy is dead! There has been no action on the forum for a while now. I feel it may be time to shut it down and quit wasting my money to try to keep it going. What do you think (the ones who still come in here)?

I got no response to the membership drive. I get almost nothing in the way of responses from things that either I post or the 2 others that post in here. What are the issues besides that Brannie, BugMarie, and Paula are gone?

I am unsure as to what can be done to revive it so that people come on more regularly. It isn't as if you could try much harder, you already do so much to encourage people. I know that we are all getting older. Could that be why? I don't know and can offer no suggestions either. I too, still love and still use wrapcandy all ALLLLLL the time, no bones about it. I would be lost without it as I am sure many people would be.
I don't know how much it costs each month (I gave up my own website cos it didn't generate any sales and that was years ago now). Maybe a monthly/three monthly subscription from us 'moderators' .... just thinking out loud....

It costs $102 a month to keep the wrapcandy and forum up and running.

Drat… I posted a reply and my internet died so I lost it.
Anyway…. I woukd hate to see this go away. I admit I haven’t shared or downloaded anything in a while because honestly life got in the way and I haven’t made much of anything! I can totally understand your frustration and don’t know the answer but I would hate to see it go away.. I didn’t realize it cost that much to run this site.
Niw pc crafter / hug club went away I lost all the graphics that I spent a fortune on and really lost interest in designing because I haven’t found anything as easy to use. I’m still not good with wrapcandy software. I don’t know the answer but would miss this site. I think many of us are getting older ( I turn 70 soon) and just don’t spend the time making things like I used to and I don’t have the energy to do many craft fairs and I’m finding I don’t make much $$$ iwhen I do. Fees for craft fairs are crazy now. Used to be I’d sell a ton at craft fairs!! I have an Etsy site but it takes me forever to list stuff so I don’t even use that . I think I have 2 items in it.lol.

Come on people. I see the names of the members that come on to look but don't bother to acknowledge that they were on, if only briefly. You may not think that it makes a difference if you just click like on something you have looked at or simply took the time to say Hi, but it does. It at least lets Jenel know that members are still around. The more members that come on and let their presence be known, the more likely it will be that members will share. We have all, at one time or another used Wrapcandy so lets give back by just letting Jenel know there is still interest.

I still love this forum and the software. My challenge is the software is on my dying HP and a Mac version was never developed by Ryan. Not to mention I changed jobs a while back and corporate America is sucking the creative life out of me. Paying an expense every month with no ROI on investment is something a business owner has to look at. Can a donate button (or a permanenet post with a CashApp or Venmo links) be added to the forum for us to donation monthly towards the cost of keeping the forum open? Also, the software is competeing with virtual platforms like Canva, AI app's so people may not realize the value they are getting when purchasing this software. For me I would be willing to donate to keep the forum open.

@makana22 @everyone Also, MAC users can run wrapcandy by using the program on the MAC called "boot camp". It allows Window programs to run on MAC.

I agree. While there are some awesome things created in AI, it's just not the same as actually creating them yourself.
Kinda like cheating and not much satisfaction. But, this forum isn't just about snagging, or it shouldn't be. It is so much more.

@sammy Go to your account page, scroll down, and under active resources, you will see a red link that says 7.4 wrapcandy. Click that, and it will take you through the process. You do not need a PayPal account. You can use a debit/credit card.

so sorry I have not been on here, and have not really been wrapping candy much either, but I make flyers, and postcards and scratch off cards, and graphics for my escape room puzzles and........)

I didn't realize it cost that much a month. Is there another place that could host that would be cheaper?? (I don't know how it all works on the back side of what we see.)
